I never sang for my father(because he never wanted to hear me)

I hate that I had to walk by you
With no more then a blink in your direction
But my kindness is spent
Like yesterday's praises
Patience died with every mean unloving word you have spoke to me
I am not angry with you
Nor do I harbor hatred for you
Anymore
I will not let you take my light
And hold it in your hand
You are of the smothering kind
Doing as you please in this game
You have nothing
No wins or losses if I refuse to play
I have no guilt for the guilty
These words are retribution
For all the times I cried in the bathtub
It's time for you to face the person you built
