failure

when everything starts falling
you wonder if your heart was right
is this where your suppose to be?
if so how do you stay?
rent isn't optional and it never stops being due
food is becoming scarce and you ponder on how to make something out of nothing
empty cupboards talk to your stomach in teasing tones
don't send me home with nothing but failures
optimism won't even let me weep
just hold on a little longer
